What happens if I miss a Service?
You may lose your new car warranty status. You will also cause unnecessary wear on your engine.
Do you have Loan cars and how much do they cost?
We offer 3 Loan vehicles - Utes - that are complimentary, however, we do require that you refill the fuel tank to full after use. We also offer a loan vehicle for $35 per day but you don't need to refill the tank to full.
Will I lose my New Car Warranty if I don't go back to the dealer?
There is no requirement under the Australian Consumer Law for a vehicle to be serviced by an authorized dealer in order for the consumer guarantees and manufacturer’s warranty to apply, provided the service is completed in accordance with the specified requirements by a qualified mechanic or service centre. I have lost my Log Book, do I need it?
A log book is a convenient way to demonstrate that the vehicle has been serviced regularly to maintain the warranty. This is important if you need to sell the vehicle while it is still under warranty. Otherwise if you don't have a Log Book you will need to keep all your invoices on hand. Our invoices do state all service items and repairs completed.
Do you provide Digital reports for the work you have done? or a digital report of what's wrong with my car?
All our invoices itemise all service and repair work completed as well as a vehicle report listing any issues. We can email this to you upon request.
How long will the service take?
Service times vary between vehicles, however, we do like to have your car in our workshop for the day. Plus we like to clean you vehicle after every service and repair.
How much will my service cost?
All service costs vary depending on which service parts are replaced. We will always contact you with a service price once we have checked the vehicle over and established which items require replacement.
How can I pay for my Service?
We accept Credit Card, EFTPOS or Cash.
When are you Open?
Our Knoxfield workshop is Open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. Closed weekends.
What is the earliest time I can bring my car in?
The earliest you can drop off your vehicle is 8am or you can drop it in the afternoon before.
Can I drop off my car after hours?
We don't have an after hours drop off. However, if you are dropping off between 5-6pm then we will generally wait for you to arrive. Please arrange this with us beforehand. We don't have a secure key drop off.
Can I collect my car after hours?
By prior arrangement we are able to offer collection between 5-6pm.
What happens if something is not right after my car service?
We take great pride in our work, but if something doesn't seem quite right then please contact us straight away and we will do our best to correct your concern. Plus you have the added assurance of our REPCO Nationwide Warranty if you find yourself out of town.
Will you give me reminders when my next sercive is due?
We always post out a service reminder just before your next service is due.
Can my car be serviced at the same time it is repaired?
Yes, we can service your car at the same time it is being repaired but please arrange this prior to drop off so we can allot the appropriate amount of time.
How do I book in a Service?
We prefer to talk to you in person or by phone as this way we can ask your questions about your vehicle and your concerns. To make a booking enquiry, after hours, you can click on the Book Now button and one of our experienced team will call you during business hours.
How often should I really service my car?
When your vehicle is under warranty you are required to have your vehicle serviced as per manufacturers guidelines. If you are out of the warranty period it is still best to have your vehicle serviced every 6 months to extend the life and performance of you car.
I don't drive much, do I still need a service?
Oils break down over time regardless of the kilometres you travel. Changing oils and filters regularly will give longer life to your vehicle as this will slow down the carbon build up process. Plus regular servicing can detect issues before they become a major problem.
Can you fix other things while my car is being serviced?
If we detect issues during your service we will be in contact to discuss with you. If time allows we can repair same day otherwise we will arrange for another appointment for your vehicle to be repaired.
Can you wash my car?
Power Drive Automotive Repairs wash all our valued clients vehicles whenever they are with us for service or repair. Plus we do a quick tidy on the inside as well.
What type of oils and parts do you use?
We use only good quality parts and oils from reputable suppliers. Our Suppliers are Penrite, Ryco, NGK, Nolathane, Monroe and occasionally we use genuine parts as required or requested.
Do you check my brakes during a service?
We check brakes at every service regardless if it is a minor or major service.
